Spam Blog

I don’t write very much and I don’t write it very often.  I have alot of things to do in my spare time.  But this topic has spured me in action.  Like most people I hate spam, it arrives in my inbox, through my door and most recently, has been appearing on this blog…. well it would if i didn’t spend about an hour every month deleting it all.  This message comes after deleting approximately 500 spamverts -as i call them- for viagra, pornography, illegal software.. the list goes on and on. 

I consider myself lucky, my website is only small and other sites probably attract alot more unwanted attention.  However, from this day forth, i declare war on anyone that trys to post their links onto my site advertising their rubbish, unwanted, virus infected, obscene product.

Recently I signed up to a website that promises to make you a million dollars!  In reality, it is not the site that gives you the money, it is up to you.  The idea is actually based on some kind of abstract neurolinguistic programming techniques.  In order to make a million dollars you will have to put in the effort yourself.  You will need to choose how you make your money and the amount of time you wish to do this in.  When you have made some money you can update your financial details on the site which will be then be displayed in a nice list along with everybody elses riches.  Upon perusing the list it can be seen that a few people have totals of $10,000+ while most have less or $0.

So does this site make you money?  Well… Yes and No!  As I said a few sentances ago you need to choose your own method of Entrepreneurship.  What the site does is to provide the motivation for realising your goals.  The site is actually a thought experiment.  Your only commitment to joining the site is that you have to think about a motivational sentance everyday for at least 60 seconds. 

In an easy and relaxed manner, in a healthy and positive way, in its own perfect time, for the highest good of all, I intend $1,000,000 to come into my life and into the lives of everyone who holds this intention.

I can’t sleep at the moment, so i’m looking at different types of advertsing to generate a bit of revenue for my new blog.  There are so many to choose from though!  There is alot of information on this topic at http://www.problogger.net/ I’m finding the site to be a very valuable resource!  Oh there’s sooo much to do.  My main website http://www.spamsoup.com/ will hopefully be up and running by March with this blog being in full swing by -ooooohh- six months after that… Ho hum…

After not doing anything with my blog for a very very long time, i have decided to update it!  I’ve ditched blogger.com and installed Wordpress onto my webspace.  I, however, am still being lazy as i should really write my own blog software in php!  Observe the new template and rejoice… Hopefully i will post a bit more regulary that what i have in the past.

You can also see that spamsoup.com is undergoing some major changes at the moment.  The site is being given a new lick of paint, with lots of new features coming in the - hopefully not too distant - future.  Do give me a chance though, i’m studying for my MSc and creating a website for a local business! —> www.horizons-psych.com

Today i offered to post a parcel for my friend Laura. This gave me an idea! I’m going to try and take pictures of random people that i meet in my travels through the world. Todays lucky man was the POST OFFICE ATTENDANT! We didn’t get his name and he didn’t really care about writing us a message here, or even where the photo was going. He was nice, however, and only charged a resonable £2.01 for second class delivery.

Here is a word from my Mum…. ” I was somewhat surprised at having to be the photographer and felt the POST OFFICE ATTENDANT must have thought us both mad. However i did my best! ”

Ha ha, yes my mum was a bit shocked at my request! Here is the POST OFFICE ATTENDANT. I’ve decided to name him Jim…

I should really try and sort out the way i look before having pictures taken…

Today, my SLEASE exam didn’t go too badly. One down, six to go. Now i’m revising for Advanced Digital design which is nice and relaxing. Well apart from the extreme lack of sleep….

Still revising, today i am doing Computer Controlled Feedback Systems. Its a bit lame. As a break from this festivity i decided to see how many chocolate Wheetos i could fit in my mouth!

Well, today i have been revising Social, Legal and Ethical Aspects of Science and Engineering (slease ha!). Also i have found time to vastly improve the forum. Ho hum, these posts will be extra sporadic and boring till my exams are over. Then i shall be freeeeeeeee!
